Old RPG Is New Again

  • Feb. 8th, 2010 at 11:44 AM

Just wanted to drop a note here for the few people who follow this page.  Steve Jackson Games published a sort of mind-blowing RPG a few years back called Transhuman Space.  It was, and is, the most revolutionary table top RPG setting I've ever seen.  It was always kind of hard to find though, and went out of print sometime in 2009.  I'm happy to say that they've put it back in publication in PDF form, at a significantly reduced price.

If you're looking for something different in a science fiction game, this is it.  It's a complex world, where progress has continued on at its current pace, with all the attendant good and bad that we've seen come from technological advances that we've seen in the past century.  At $17 it's a steal (I paid $37 for hardbound).  Plus, the electronic version is way easier to search.  Since this is a reference book for the setting, not a rules book, it's hard to over-emphasis the importance of the ability to search the book.  I picked up an electronic copy just so I could do that.

According to this survey I'm a bit of a drip. Of course, since my activities outside of work have consisted of different work for the last two months, this maybe isn't too far from the truth.

Gay Rights

Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?" - Ernest Gaines

We would like to know who really believes in gay rights on livejournal. There is no bribe of a miracle or anything like that. If you truly believe in gay rights, then repost this and title the post as "Gay Rights". If you don't believe in gay rights, then just ignore this. Thanks.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
